Policies
It is Oregon State University’s policy to comply with the Public Health Service (PHS) Policy on the Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, the US Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal Welfare Act & Regulations (9CFR Chapter 1, 2.31), and the United States Government Principles for the Utilization and Care of Vertebrate Animals Used in Research, Teaching and Testing. OSU establishes policies that are unique, but in line with federal regulations.The committee will use the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and other applicable guidelines as recommended in the management of the animal care and use program at Oregon State University.

The following posters have been approved by the IACUC for use in animal facilities and investigator labs. For areas that must have sanitizable surfaces, contacted the IACUC and request a laminated poster.
