Facility information

The field station provides a wet lab, a dry lab, an office, a seminar room, housing for visiting researchers, and a SCUBA tank fill station, operated under the Diving Safety Office.

SCUBA tank fills are available to approved scientific divers and to recreational divers with proof of certification, valid identification, and a cylinder meeting appropriate industry standards. Advance notice of fill needs is necessary, as staff is often in the field or unavailable.  Donations are accepted in support of the station’s dive program. 

The station is available for use by researchers and students from OSU and other research and education institutions, as well as community groups, and may be scheduled with the station manager by calling 541-366-2500 between the hours of 1 pm - 5 pm, Monday - Thursday. 

Fees

Seminar Room rental - $50/day, $25/half-day

Housing (Suite A/B - includes use of kitchen, linens) - $20/night

Lab - use of both wet and dry lab - $15/day

Lab - use of either wet or dry lab - $9/day

Office desk space in shared station office - $5/day

SCUBA tank air fill - $5/tank (donation in support of scientific diving program)
