Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program

  • One candidate will be selected from the letters of nomination to represent Oregon State University. In an effort to provide the highest level of excellence and viability for funding, a review process will be put in place if more than one letter of nomination is submitted.

Eligibility
The Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program is open to faculty who meet all of the following criteria:

  • From academic institutions in the States, Districts, and Territories of the United States of America that grant a bachelor’s or higher degree in the chemical sciences, including chemistry, biochemistry, materials chemistry, and chemical engineering.
  • Hold a full-time tenure-track academic appointment focused on the chemical sciences.
  • Normally expected to have been appointed no earlier than mid-year 2018.
  • From Ph.D. granting departments in which scholarly research is a principal activity and undergraduate education is an important component.
  • Institutions may submit only one Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award nomination annually. Renominations are accepted.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

  1. A one - two-page letter of intent with 1) description of the nominees accomplishments ans an independent faculty member and 2) a statement of the nominee's dedication to chemical sciences
  2. A CV (limited to 4 pages) including a list of publications in which independent contributions and undergraduate coauthors are clearly identified. Research support should also be indicated.
  3. A letter of support from the Dean or Chair. This letter of support signifies that the Dean or Chair has ensured that the nominee and application are likely to be of sufficient quality to be competitive nationally. email to Research.development@oregonstate.edu
