About IACUC

Oregon State University recognizes both the importance of animals in research and teaching, and the scientific and ethical responsibilities required for their care and use.  

OSU's Animal Care and Use Program comprises all activities conducted by and at the University that have a direct impact on the well-being of animals. The Program scope includes animal and veterinary care, policies and guidelines, animal facility design and management, oversight of participants and their related occupational health and safety, and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) functions.
