Plain text for relaying a concern or complaint

  1. Contact the relevant Unit Lead. Complaints received by others will be routed to the Unit Lead or their designee.
  2. ORI Unit Lead (or designee) will attempt to resolve the concern at the Program Office, Committee, or Officer level.
  3. If not resolved, the Associate Vice President for Research Integrity and Operations (AVP) is alerted and begins to gather information from the Unit Lead, Researcher, Committee Chair, and other stakeholders.
  4. AVP utilizes relevant compliance committee or, when appropriate, convenes panel to gather information and provide recommendations.
  5. AVP and Unit Lead draft response to Complainant. If appropriate, and with necessary compliance committee input, the response may include a plan to develop or update a Program policy or process. Response and recommendations are reviewed by the Vice President for Research.
