- Contact the relevant Unit Lead. Complaints received by others will be routed to the Unit Lead or their designee.
- ORI Unit Lead (or designee) will attempt to resolve the concern at the Program Office, Committee, or Officer level.
- If not resolved, the Associate Vice President for Research Integrity and Operations (AVP) is alerted and begins to gather information from the Unit Lead, Researcher, Committee Chair, and other stakeholders.
- AVP utilizes relevant compliance committee or, when appropriate, convenes panel to gather information and provide recommendations.
- AVP and Unit Lead draft response to Complainant. If appropriate, and with necessary compliance committee input, the response may include a plan to develop or update a Program policy or process. Response and recommendations are reviewed by the Vice President for Research.
