iRIS is OSU’s electronic research administration system for applications to conduct animal research. Cayuse is OSU's electronic research administration system for Conflict of Interest disclosures and applications to conduct human subject research.

There is no currently planned maintenance that will result in a system outage. This page will be updated as maintenance is scheduled.

The Human Ethics module of Cayuse enables users to submit the following:

  1. requests for oversight determinations
  2. requests for OSU to cede oversight to an external IRB
  3. new applications for review

The IACUC module of iRIS, an online research administration system, is now available for use. This system replaces the use of Word document files for the submission of new protocols and associated amendments, annual reports, incident reports, and exemption requests.

How do I log in to iRIS?

Log in to iRIS using your ONID credentials

If you are unable to log in, contact the OSU Help Desk by creating a support ticket or calling 7-8787. You will receive assistance within 24 hours.

How do I request access to forms in iRIS?

If you can log in to iRIS but do not have access to the form that you are looking for, request access send an email to: [email protected]

Why isn't my CITI training showing up in iRIS?

If you do not see your training records or they are inaccurate, log in to your existing CITI training registration and ensure that your email addresses accurately reflect your OSU affiliation in both the primary and institutional address fields.

Use of other OSU email variations or personal email addresses will prevent your training records from appearing in iRIS and prevent you from submitting new applications.
