Dave Dallas, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, College of Public Health & Human Sciences

I am a nutrition and food sciences researcher working to understand and enhance the biological impacts of milk components (e.g., proteins, peptides, glycans) across digestion in infants and adults. I collaborate with clinicians (e.g., neonatologists), gut physiologists, microbial ecologists, and industry partners.

David Hendrix, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, College of Science and College of Engineering

I am a computational biologist who works on computational genomics, RNA bioinformatics, and chronobiology and aging. I collaborate with engineers, agricultural and computer scientists to uncover principles of gene regulation with data mining and computational pattern discovery.

Jessee Dietch, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor, College of Liberal Arts

I am a clinical health psychologist working with patients, healthcare system decision makers, and clinicians to develop and increase accessibility to evidence-based behavioral sleep psychology interventions for underserved populations.

Maria Kavanaugh, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor, College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences

I am a seascape ecologist focused on the intersection of marine biodiversity, ecosystem functioning, and climate. I collaborate broadly across disciplines and sectors to co-develop indicators and observation systems to assess and track changes in ecosystem health.

Steve Ramsey, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine

I'm a computational biologist with a physics and systems biology background. I'm working with researchers across the sciences and medicine to realize the promise of artificial intelligence and machine-learning to understand diseases and improve health.

Maude David, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor, College of Science and College of Pharmacy

I am a microbiologist and a computational biologist who collaborates with neuroscientists to uncover gut-brain-microbiota routes. Together we develop new methods to identify microbes that directly interact with the neuroepithelial circuits.

Sean Newsom, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, College of Public Health & Human Sciences

I am a metabolic physiologist confronting rising health issues caused by weight gain and physical inactivity. I partner with physicians and other scientists to develop new and effective treatments for metabolic diseases.
